- You can permanently delete workspace data and account data at any time.
1. Who We Are
File to Insights (“the App”) is operated by an independent individual. For support or privacy requests, use our contact page.
2. Information We Collect
a. Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect:
- Email address
- Account identifiers
- Subscription status
b. Uploaded Data
- When you use the App while signed in, tabular files (CSV, TSV, XLS, XLSX) and related workspace data may be uploaded to and stored in our secure workspace infrastructure
- We store this data so you can return to your workspace, continue analysis, reuse saved files, and manage or delete them from your dashboard
To generate insights, we may process:
- Column names and schema
- Summary statistics
- A limited sample of rows (e.g. up to 100 rows), anonymized where possible
c. AI Processing
We use third-party AI services (e.g. Anthropic / Claude) to generate insights. Only derived data profiles or limited samples are sent to AI providers, not full datasets. AI providers process data according to their own privacy policies. We also use Cloudflare Workers to help keep client-to-app and app-to-AI-provider communication tightly scoped and secure.
3. Stored Data
For signed-in users, we may store:
- Uploaded source files and related workspace records
- Generated insight reports
- Visualization configurations
- Account preferences
Industry-standard practice applied: Data is stored while your account is active unless you delete it earlier from Dashboard Workspace Data or through account deletion.
4. Analytics & Logs
We may collect limited technical data such as:
- Aggregated usage analytics
- Error logs
- Temporary IP addresses for security and abuse prevention
We do not use this data to identify individuals.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for:
- Authentication
- Session management
- Basic analytics

6. Data Deletion
You may permanently delete saved workspace data from Dashboard Workspace Data or delete your account at any time. When you do:
- All stored data is permanently deleted
- Backup copies are removed within a reasonable timeframe
7. Data Responsibility
You agree not to upload:
- Personal data you do not have rights to
- Medical, financial, or regulated data
- Confidential or sensitive information
You are responsible for the data you submit.
8. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use means acceptance of the updated policy.
